What crank sensor to use was created by gerber
Hello guys.. i really need help.
Let me explain.
I got 2003 chevy silverado 4.3 with bad engine..
So i find a 2011 4.3 . I bought it looks the same like the 2003 4.3.... but is no distribuitor in there . But has the long shaft in there.. so i swap my intake manifold, and distribuitor. To the 2011..set the time and drop the engine in there everything good antil. The crankshaft sensor plug wont fit in to the 2011 sensor. So i try to figure it out. . I bought the plug for the 2011 crank sensor . But looking my diagram. Looks like it wont work. First.. the reluctor wheel inside of the timing cover is bigger and different from the 2003 wheel.. so i swap the wheel. But it wont reach close enough to make my crank sensor work right. So now i need to find a crank sensor with a long shaft to reach close to the wheel. So i think will work.. any help please. See the pictures for reference. ..

I wish I had a suggestion for you. Did you swap out the front timing cover? Where does the crank sensor bolt to? You definitely cannot use that 2011 trigger wheel.

Don't be a parts changer!

No i cont swap them... 2003 and 2011. Are different.
What i was thinking is to swap the reductor wheel o whatever call.. from the 2003 to the 2011 mote.. but i going to need a big long crank sensor .. but what think is it will need to be buid the same like the 2003 . (See the description on the picture 1..) so it can reach close enough to the wheel..( see the distance that need to go on picture 2 with the wheel alredy swap it) the gap is like a dollar bill. Thanks for the help

Update.. did a modification on the 2011 timing cover hole for the crank sensor.. and i use the reluctor wheel from the 2003. And made a bracket for the crank. And modify the crank sensor little bit. So it can reach my reluctor wheel. And its running now.. 2011 4.3 in to a 2003 chevy silverado.
