HELLO im working on a 2008 sonata it has new alternator and battery but keeps loosing charge alternator is not exciting or coming on apparently the computer is not controlling the regulator i know the regulator is internal but dont have a clear way to test it looking for some help please and thank you

From what I can see although the DRL control unit is wired to the circuit it doesn't control alternator , the alternator warning light circuit is an input to the DRL control unit so the DRL are only illuminated when the alternator is charging.
The alternator is connected to the ECU but I suspect this is duty cycle signal from the alternator to the ecu rather than the ECU controlling the alternator.

Is it possible the ALT FUSIBLE LINK 150A is blown? Maybe the customer hooked up battery cables backwards getting a jump with the old battery?
