I am working on a a chevy cavalier with no start but cranks, has a good compression, has spark, but no injector pulse, fuel pump/injector fuse
is good, but it has a " theft deterent code (pass lock)". It will run when "ether (starting fluid)" is sprayed to the throttle intake. PCM shutsdown fuel pump/injector when theft deterent is active.
Replaced cluster and ignition switch and went through re-learn procedure and theft lamp supposed to flash during KOEO during the re-learn process and repeat the process 3 times. however theft lamp only flashed once on the first cycle and it stayed on the whole time. and to no avail vehicle still not starting.
