Anyone at all have any idea what high pressure fuel rail pressure on a normal running escape should be?

I will agree that anyone who points out that the desired pid should match the actual but on this vehicle (at idle) I'm getting a lean command and it is driving ltft to +25 and stft seems to be happily crossing back and forth over zero and keeping to the lower single digits.
I have smoke tested the intake and checked with carb cleaner and have recieved no possible leaks at all including the boots, hoses and intercooler.
The vehicle will not set a code but has an unusual rolling idle but on a test drive at about 50mph you can feel the same rolling affect in power to maintain speed.

The vehicle history is that it ate the turbo and had jumped a tooth on mechanical timing in the chain but did not bend valves.

Attached is a screen shot of fuel trim data from the verus. Note the vehicle was still warming up and had been running about 8 minutes and was at idle in the service bay.

Thanks to all that respond.

Lean only at idle? Have you checked the purge solenoid? They are a bit of a pain but common for them to stick open causing a vacuum leak

I will give that a look in the morning along with the tsb for the pcv valve fuel oder.

Thank you

I would like to point out that a rich ltft of +25 is a lean condition and a rich command so I would think that if the purge was stuck open we would be sucking fuel vapor causing the opposite. Still worth a look because the line could be broke or fell off and sucking fresh air from the atmosphere instead of fuel tank vapors.

There are a few things that come to mind. 1. the combustion chambers are really carboned acting like a sponge to the incoming fuel. 2. the fuel injector nozzles are dirty not delivering enough or spraying correctly. 3 There is a compression issue that is causing enough misfires to create a lean condition. (there is no noticeable misfire)

This is what I do know is that if you reset KAM (clear the fuel trim memory) and it resets to zero that the funny idle surge is completely gone until the new learned fuel curve reaches +14 ltft and then starts the rolling idle. Im inclined to believe that I have a sensor that is lying to me about what it is being reporting to the ecm and its making adjustments upon that information.

In theory you are correct but in reality it will cause a lean condition except after refueling. Then it will cause a rich condition until the stuck open purge clears out the canister of fuel vapors
