God bless you my brothers and sisters.
Ok i got this truck in for a tune up and oil sending unit. I checked for code because light was on and it had o2 codes and cam. After job was done it started right up but no oil pressure so I check if the plug was loose it was not, so i wiggled the harness and it turned off and it wouldn't start back up. Knowing i had a cam code I move the cam plug and it started so i check the plug and i fined that the wires are bare and touching.
I do the repair and replace the cam sensor and truck starts right up. Customer picks it up and the next day calls that it's a no start i tow it in and no fuel pressure and cam code is back put new pump and it starts right up. I turn it on and off a few times and all of a sudden long crank time and backfire. I recheck cam plug on red wire i have batt. voltage on the brn/wht 10mv and the same on the pink/blk. I have no 5vt ref i belief the pnk/blk in ground and the brn/wht 5vt ref. At the ECM for brn/wht I get about 10mv and sane on pnk/blk .
HERE is the question can I jump the 5vt ref from a other sensor if driver is burt. I belief brother Danner did this on one of his videos.
Thank you for your help I need to get this truck out tomarrow.
