Volkswagen MKIV GTI, 2011, 2.0, Engine code CCZB
Hi everyone, I have a challenge with the above vehicle. The scan tool does not communicate with the vehicle. The vehicle sustained water damage, to electronics located in the engine compartment. The following components were replaced, Data bus diagnostic interface, Control unit for structure-borne sound.

I have carried out the following tests: I have checked for the 5V reference circuit and it is present. I have checked the powers and grounds at the PCM and they are all OK.

I have carried out the following tests on the Data bus diagnostic interface, via a scope Pin 1 and 11, powers and grounds respectively. Pin 8 and 18 CAN low and high respectively, to Multifunction indicator, the signals are present. Pin 6 and 16 CAN low and high respectively, Control unit for structure-borne sound, ABS control unit and PCM, the signals are present. Pin 5 and 15 CAN low and high respectively to Onboard supply control unit, the signals are present. Pin 10 and 20 CAN low and high respectively to Auxiliary heater control unit, there is no signal, I do not think the vehicle is equipped with one. Pin 1, 12V constant and it is present. Pin 11, ground. Pin 14, 12V with KOEO.

The only Pins on the Data bus diagnostic interface, which are giving me concern are the following, Pin 9 and 19, these are the only Pins which go to the 16 Pin diagnostic connector. I have confirmed the powers and grounds on the 16 Pin diagnostic connector. Please help, I need to know what I should expect on these Pins and what another tests I should carry out.
I thank you in advance for your help.

wow thats a lot of pins i am a beginner but pine hollow diagnostic and scanner danner danner have some good vids on no comm situations i would try and measure some can signals to get aware with what they are looking like and then go to the unknowns 2.5 above and 2.5 below can signals i think are pretty easy to read they either match up or dont and any dropouts are easy to find keep in mind proper amperages(of the modules themselves power and ground) on any particular circuit also keep in mind your topologys and configurations of the modules in question for what is a can signal but how copmuters try and talk with each other and some can override others and depending on situation those ones can override the others just a thought on how they talk and argue is what i call it
