Dears,

Are Engine load, Calculated load and evaluated load the same?

because I want to diagnose BMW X5 E70 and I cant find Engine load in the data. What I see only calculated load and evaluated load.

I'm not positive what Evaluated Load is, but I wonder if it's the same as Absolute Load? :huh: They're not exactly the same, as Calculated is usually based on the MAF sensor, while Absolute is usually based on the MAP sensor. Absolute is useful for forced induction engines, where volumetric efficiency is expected to be over 100%. I did some experimenting with Calculated and Absolute here:

to my understanding, engine load equals absolute load. Am I right?

I want to diagnose how much air is sucked into engine at wot but my scanner doesnt show engine load. Can I use absolute load to help me for this diagnosis with O2 sensor if I want to find out cause of Low Power complaint?

The car doesnt have MAP it has only MAF sensor.
