PO171 and PO174 was created by Deryck
Owner of a Jaguar S-type, petrol-engine, year 2002. 3 litre.
The engine malfunction warning light (yellow) infomring me that performance is compromised frequently appears, especially when travelling over 110 m/h.
Checked all hoses and tubes and replaced all sensors.
The problem will not go away.
Any suggestions?

Do you have access to scan data? That'd be the place to start, as we could look at fuel trim data to see when the engine is running lean.
The fact that the light comes on at speed would tend to suggest a fuel issue, either with the MAF or fuel pressure. But, the trims will tell us if that's true or not.

in absence of scanner, perhaps basic ocular inspection for loose wire connectors at sensors like MAF, EGR etc.

Confirm what it's not, and fix what it is!

Also check for vacuum leaks and possible loose or cracked intake hose from air filter

Dear Tyler
Very grateful for your suggestions. I expect an engine data scanner to be delivered to me some time next week.
Hopefully this will identify the problem.
Thanks again
