No noticeable smoke from exhaust/turbo side. Only intake side near PCV Block breather and hose. Smoke doesn't seem to be from dripping down onto something hot and metal. In other words, it seems to be coming out of (leaking from) PCV ( close to the block) assembly already manifested as smoke. Is it simply crank case smoke? idk.
Does this sound right? Any VeeDub nerds wanna chime in?
VID Quick vid clip of me poking around, uncertain of the situation.
Attachment is diagram of PCV breather and hose. I'm 85% sure smoke is coming out of there.

Hello seabass haven't seen smoke come from that pcv/ oil collection hose it I sure have replaced a lot of them for leaking oil! If it's cracked (and usually is) replace it also look for leaking timing vvt actuator at back of cylinder head there common for oil leaks as well. Yes the hoses you pointed out are coolant hoses the block that the oil filter attaches to is the oil cooler and the other was turbo cooler . Also does this motor sound as noisy in person as it does on the recording or is the Mic making it sound worse? I ask because these motors have a problem with losing the plastic shoe for the VVT chain and they'll slap the inside of the valve cover until they wear a hole right through!

Wow thx for that!. Sorry, went away for a while. Needed a break from schooling after non-stop binge learning on ScannerDanner for 3 months straight. But I'm back now feeling fresh.
Yea, the engine was noisey-ish..(not alarmingly so). But interesting to learn about the VVT chain. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the guidance and explaining the cooling lines. I haven't seen the car since, but she's an older lady in my neighborhood. I'll call her again and ask if I can poke around some more.
