Diagnosing a no start. Getting ignition coil control but no injector control, is this an immobilizer strategy to disable fuel injectors only.? Any knowledge shared on these immobilizer systems would be appreciated. Thank you and God bless

The security light only blinks when the cars is locked. And the battery was disconnected for awhile. I however assumed there was no codes so I didn't check for codes. I initially thought the injector drivers were cooked because the check engine light doesn't come on what so ever and I thought the immobilizer disabled (no control) injectors and coils. Not just the injectors.

I had a similar issue with a '97 uk spec Rav4 when i had to renew the 100 amp ALT fuse because of a previous bodged repair! This led to a cranking no start just like yours. The vehicle had spark but no injection pulse. I solved my issue by trying the "Master" key and the Rav fired up again and was no more trouble. Might solve your problem. Steve

1 - the immobilizer does cut injection pulse

Does the vehicle start with an alternative fuel source sprayed into the manifold? Does the ecu communicate, do you have 5V ref?

Check power and grounds to ecu and do a sistem scan. "Assuming" can (and will) lead you astray.....

Scan tool does communicate. Nothing seems a miss except no injector control

Check for fuses that should NOT be there according to the fuse box diagram. On several Toyota cars fuses in places not designed for them will cause exactly your symptom.
