2008 trailblazer passenger side door module was created by autojoe
Driving and all locks locking and unlocking continously for several minutes then quit. Then every time started truck it would do it. I disconnected the connector 3 of them from passenger side door module and it quit. Now nothing on passenger side door. No windows locks or mirrors. If I try to do bi directional controls for locks windows or mirrors or to look at data on snap on scan tool it says no communication. I have a U1305 and u1161 history codes in bcm and u1000 current code in bcm. Have 2 power feeds to module. U1305... Class2 data link low or high and u1161... Lost communication with passenger side door module and current code u1000.... Loss of class 2 serial communication. I am thinking that the PDM went bad. Any ideas? If I replace does it need programmed? Thanks, Joe

I have not cleared codes. If I clear codes it will cause module to work again? I was thinking of buying a J2534 pass thru device and program myself. Going to test resistance on class 2 bus line. Thanks

Check the wire harness. Have a buddy that had lost communication with other symptoms and wiring harness had been rubbed through on some of the wiring where it came thru the firewall. The vehicle was salvaged from a light left front hit , just a left front fender & bumper not wheel well back in 09 but it apparently was enough force to punch the harness. It cost him a used flashed body control module from where he's the salvage mgr at the auto recycler and had to get it programmed. Some locks would work along with some mirrors and seat controls. Was a weird deal for sure.
I would definitely check the integrity of the wiring harness first so you know what you have and don't waste a program for it to fail.

Thanks for reply. I checked module power and ground and all good. I bought a used module and no need for programming because it was from a trailblazer. Cleared all history codes and installed used module and now everything works fine and am able to communicate with the pdm and am able to do bi-directional controls. Thanks again for all input.
