Have a Chevy Equinox in the shop with the StabiliTrak and Traction control light on. Hooked the scanner to it with no codes, but the Service StabiliTrack light will not go off. Does anyone have experience with the StabiliTrack system?

I scanned the EBCM and the ABS. I also did a full scan on all of the modules with the Verus. No codes but the Service StabiliTrack light is still on. Vehicle drives great has about 108,000 miles so I'm scratching my head wondering why?

Interesting... Did the Power Steering Control Module come up in your Code Scan?

Tyler, the pscm did come up with the full scan of the car. It didn't come on when I scanned the anti lock brake system independently.

It appears this issue is intermittent. Light is off but I want to test drive it for a few days. The only other thing noticeable on this vehicle is it has a noticeable miss when cold but goes away once the car has warmed up. Fuel Trim data is normal. I'll dig into that issue on Monday. I'll keep you updated on the progress.

If you read the part that the stabiltrak system can control engine torque if needed, you can assume it does so through the TAC system, using alot of pcm inputs. I'd say 75% of the time I've seen a gm vehicle with those indicators on it is a problem with the throttle body. Most of the time its just dirty. Some times the TPS sensor will glitch and not set a fault code in the PCM.

I had a 2009 camaro with a 6 liter that had an intermittent short to ground on the 5 volt ref2 circuit. Sometimes it would set an engine light for the crank sensor, sometimes it would set a code for the TAC, and sometimes it wouldnt set any codes. Go figure.

First I would scan ABS module for codes not full scan but ABS only.
I think you will also need to look at all wheel speed sensors and see if they are all working and have a good pattern . I think you will find a bad sensor / wheel bearing

All these systems are very picky about wheel speed sensor & wheel bearings I would graph the wheel speed pids and look for dropouts or scope each sensor.
