random rpm increase and decrease at idle was created by karim
Dears,
Today, I cleand my injector and replaced the filters inside them. The car has witnessed dramatic performance change but the RPM makes random movement at idle. Any info? does bad alt diod make this? that is my guess.
Thanks for any info

What sort of car? Does it ever return to the correct idle speed or is it always high? Did you clean the throttle body? Is it possible you've left a hose or fitting off somewhere and the engine is getting unmetered air allowing it to idle high?

Toyota avalon 2012. The throttle was clean. all hoses are in place. The RPM returns to normal but it rises and goes down.
Do you think that the TPS must reset?
Thank you

Is that an electronic throttle body? There may be an idle relearn available.
Does it also have coolant flowing through it? If so, make sure these are hot and the coolant is full. It may have air in the system allowing the air bypass to cool and open up allowing the revs to increase.

Yes, It is an electronic throttle with twin hose on it for cooling. May be there is air as you said. Any recommendation to empty the air inside the coolant?
Thanks for your help

We don't get an Avalon in Aus. We do get an aurion which may be similar which has a 2gr-fe engine. There's a bleeder in the v to bleed air from the system.
There's no check engine light is there? Can you feel these hoses and see if they're hot? They should warm up as quickly and stay as hot as the heater hoses into the firewall.
