I have a 1988 Ford F150 EFI
I was having issues with it, shutting off while
driving when I came to a stop.
we found out I was losing spark, and that the fuel relay wasn’t getting power, causing it to have like a running out of gas type symptom. We changed the Relay with an aftermarket, and it ran fine for a while then it acted up again. We then put in the best one we could find. And it did the same thing again. Almost every fuel system part has been changed and everything that has to do with spark. anybody have an idea what this could be. On a sidenote, we did change a distributor because it kept going out of timing. I believe these trucks have a timing gear not a chain. Could a bad timing
gear / chain have anything to do with the symptoms listed above
thanks in advance
