Howdy Y'all,
Trying to help out a lady that i used to work with on her Ford Taurus. Her 2014 Ford Taurus now will shut off when she puts the car into drive like clockwork.
She lives about two hours from us, and is a single lady,,,and has had the car to three shops., They have replaced the catalitic converters,,,replaced the fuel pump module/relay,,,located behind rear seat, new battery,,,and nothing has changed. The problem is,,she only speaks Spanish,,,and is very very difficult to comminucate...even with translator.
She is not real flush with money,,,so,,,just trying to see if anyone has any ideas.
She sent me a short video, and sure enough when she puts the car into drive,it sound like she shut the key off at same time. When it starts with remote fob,,,it sounds like it idles perfect,,,no strange noises...
Not much to go on,,I know,,,She said none of the shops...that came and got her car,,and brought back,,gave her a scan code read out. She lives in very small town,,so,,,no mom & pop mechanic, close by.
