        Hello everyone.
would like to request your advice on this topic. I live in Greece and I have the equivalent of your Chevy Cruze 1.4l turbo. Here in Greece it is called opel astra. Same shit different name.
now the issue is this, out of a sudden the left front window has started malfunctioning. When you flip the switch to go down, it works as per normal. When you flip the switch to move up, it starts and stops after 1 inch. Then you flip the switch again, again moves 1 inch, and goes on.
now my thought process is this:
it cannot be a power/ ground problem since the motor works ok when it is requested to go down. I tried flipping passenger side switch and the same thing happens, so I believe this eliminates also the possibility of bad switch.
I am thinking either bad window motor or bad bcm, because the other windows for the time being work ok.
what do you think?

As long as the regulator or the window itself isn't binding on the track, sounds like the motor is tired to me.

Today it did a funny thing though. The alarm went on even though all doors and windows were shut. I tried to open and close all windows, and then they moved as per normal, and the alarm went off. So it now crossed my mind that perhaps the anti theft system somehow intervened and has blocked the power from the bcm, but this is something that I don’t know how to check it and don’t believe that danner teaches such things

Anti theft doesn't effect power windows, I think you're drawing lines between dots that don't need to be connected.
Scanner Danner does teach how to check computer outputs and powers and grounds.
If you think there's an electrical issue, you can check for power and ground at the window motor connector, or measure the current draw of the malfunctioning window compared to a functioning one.
You may even be able to plug one of the working motors into the driver's side connector of you still are not satisfied with your test. results.
