I picked up a 2007 Mazda6 2.3 /5spd Auto with 135k miles that supposedly had a bad engine. During the test drive, the CEL had codes for V0155, P0139, P0302, and TB code I forgot to write down. The car ran fine, but would stumble/ fall on it's face when you pressed the accelerator pedal from a stop.

Previous owner had installed a new chinese throttle body and mass air meter, new o2 sensors, new ignition coil & plug to fix the hesitation. I replaced the temp battery cable ends and made a trip to the pull-a-part for a used oem throttle body and aftermarket mass air meter. After fixing the cross threaded o2 sensor (they used a spark plug non fouler) and #2 spark plug and installing the new throttle body, I was able to clear all of the codes. I later swapped the MAF meter and while the values dropped on the scanner (.9v Key-on, 1.7v at idle) - no change to the stumble.

Car seems to runs fine and shifts normally until you come to a stop. Plenty of power and no sign of problems. All of the sensor values look normal on my scanner and it does not currently have any codes. Idles good at 700-750rpm and I have no vacuum leaks. 90% of the time the car will fall on it's face and struggle to accelerate when you press on the gas while in drive. I do not notice it as much if you rev the car in Park. APP & TPS values all look good. Sometimes you can ease down on the accelerator and the car will start moving more normal. I tried unplugging the o2 sensors in an attempt to isolate the problem (read online about 02 sensor causing idle issues) and only when I unplugged the MAF did the car accelerate more normal (in open loop.).

My gut is to replace the MAF sensor with one from Mazda, but I don't see anything in the scanner that says it is a problem. Help!

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!
