Hello I have a 93 F150 2wd 5sp 300 6cyl flareside po swapped a motor from a 95 is what I was told .been slowly trying to get her tip top. Been a battle to say the least. The problem I’m having is the v marks on timing cover aren’t there. Yes I’ve been all over it around in spun it rubbed it only makes are the stamped atdc I was wondering if a guy could purchase the notches or a way to set base timing without them thanks for your help

You didn't mention what engine you are working on. Based on your post in the welcome section, I assume it's the 300ci inline six.
I've never actually had to work on, but based on some googling, the marks you would want to use look like a saw blade bolted on near the crank pulley. Sounds like someone removed yours and never put it back. Good excuse to visit the salvage yard ;)
