2014 chrslyer o2 sensor was created by dgonya666
i recently chnaged a o2 sensor upstream 2/1  on a 2014 chysler town and country. Seemed to be fine a few days later customer returns with battery light illuminated no Check engine light or o2 sensor issues. Wants alternator changed cause he thinks that's the problem tried to talk him out of it no luck alternator changed and battery light still on. If i unplug the 2/1 upstream o2 sensor voltage at battery drops to 14.2 normal charging range. o2 sensor is NTK OE sensor. is it possible the problem is in the ECM/PCM ? i have checked battery alternator battery cables o2 sensor heater circut is ohming out at 4 ohms at sensor readings on scan tool are good both upstreram and downstream ? Any Ideas im just a DYI'er no formal training.

o2 sensor needs to be denso or bought directly from dealer for some reason the other o2 brands of sensors reek havoc on Chryslers

The O2 sensor I used is OE and correct for the vehicle. The first O2 sensor that was put in was a Bosch, not the OE sensor wondering if Caused a voltage spike to the PCM

It would not damage PCM but put a denso one in it. Paul covered this in one of his YouTube videos. I'll try and find it for you.

I stand corrected NTK is actual oe from the video for at least the model year in this video (video title in pic). I'll look and see if there is one for a newer Chrysler and see if they sourced from denso at some point to be sure.

Does the O2 connector unplugged have a 2.5 volt bias showing in the data pids for the heater on your car?

What was the fault code stored in the PCM with the battery light on?

If i unplug the 2/1 upstream o2 sensor voltage at battery drops to 14.2 normal charging range.

Battery voltage drops to 14.2V after the O2 is disconnected? What was the battery voltage with the O2 connected?
