Hello guys customer bought in a 2005 Corolla that cranks, starts up and turns off within two seconds. The only code the car shows is B2799 " ENGINE IMMO SYSTEM MALFUNCTION" Customer bought new ECM and Immo box, I manually programmed them and made a new key as well and the same issue continues. I made a bridge from the two wires that connect the immo box and ecm, no success. I checked ground points in obd and noticed every time the car cranks, PIN 5 turns from ground to .2 volts. I checked the grounds in the ecm and realized EVERY GROUND in the ecm would turn to .2 when cranking. I checked all chasis grounds and everything was good. The only two grounds that were giving me issues were the grounds on the engine. I cleaned the engine grounds and connected a jumper from the negative battery and still nothing. I attached two pictures from online of the two ground points and a diagram showing where they connect. If anyone has suggestions I would greatly appreciate it, or if anyone would be able to help me via phone I'd pay.
NOTE: customer installed aftermarket sound system (everything has been removed) customer swapped the ecm 3 times before giving up and bringing the car to me
