Hello,
Seat Leon 1P1 2010 1.6 TDI ( 77kW, 105 hp)
VIN: VSSZZZ1PZBR005748
I have a seat leon that had one fuel injector and 4 glow plugs replaced. After the repair I drove home and after parking the car stopped working. It's worth noting the car had issues starting up when picking it up from the garage. Fired up on 3rd attempt when picking it up. It currently is at no crank, no start, no clicking noise, though when I run a cable from positive battery terminal to the "S" terminal on the starter (the one that gets power once you try to start the car) the car attempts to start, but with no success. I have also removed the starter and tested it with the car battery outside the car and it behaves as expected. The ground on starter cable is good, the post that gets power from battery is good too.
I've checked all the fuses and they are all fine. Battery voltage on both sides.
I cleaned up 5 ground points under the hood and when I check with multimeter and voltage check light I am getting ground everywhere I touch.
I have checked the ignition switch and I am able to see battery voltage coming out of it when I turn the key to start position.
I cannot hear anything from the back of the car where the fuel pump is.
I have checked the starter relay by checking the resistance between 85 and 86 and it is 87 ohm. I have also lifted it slightly and checked the voltage on 30 and grounds (85 & 86) and all is fine.
I have checked all square relays under the steering wheel by doing the click test. I know this is not a definitive test that the relay works as it should. I don't know which relay is for what.
I have "tried" checking the 5V reference voltage as seen on Dan's videos, but not sure if i did it correctly. I have checked multiple sensors (don't know the names) and I could detect ground and 0.19V voltage in two sensors I checked. One of them is for the fuel rail, the other one I am unsure. Provided pictures with multimeter below. On both sensors I am able to detect battery ground, but that's the only voltage I can see. Not sure if this is the 5V reference circuit voltage.
The middle picture link shows a plug that is all covered in oil. When I inserted needle inside of it, it came out half black in engine oil. It's part number is 1J0 973 722.
Any ideas what could be wrong? I've spent a lot of time trying to get this car running, I am surely learning something, but so far no luck successfully diagnosing the car. I wanted to check clutch safety switch, but I don't think this car has it? I know it has hall sensor, but according to ebay listings it is for cruise control?
Forgot to mention that there is no communication with the car using the OBD port. At least I cannot with my basic scanner. Someone connected their laptop with their software and said their laptop is able to communicate with all modules except the engine.
