Hi everyone. I have a 2002 NIssan Xterra 3.3l 4x4 that developed a high idle after cleaning the throttle body ( did not remove it ), In park it idled at 1500 rpm's and in gear only dropped to 1100 rpm's. Now it's at a point where when started it's idling at 2000 rpm's and no longer drivable. Removed the TPS connector and with KOEO I have 5v ref, 5v on signal and ground. When I plug the connector back in the scan data shows TPS voltage at 0.00v KOEO. I removed the TPS and bench tested it and it's functioning properly. When it was idling at 1500 rpms the tps voltage in park was 0.6 volts. Right now there is no voltage response when manually operating the TPS. Hope there's a Nissan expert here to point me in the right direction. I'm using a first gen SnapOn Modis scanner to troubleshoot. Also, I have only one code at this time P0304 misfire cylinder 4 which most likely is caused by the high idle. Thanks anyone.
