refrigerant pressure around 7 bar, approx 100 psi (no change)
power request to compressor 99.95% ( 0 before request)
867mA power consumption of compressor (.5mA with 0 request)
Could this be a faulty compressor? Seems like it is getting the command to ramp up.
No change in refrigerant pressure and no cold air.
Are there any other checks to make before condemning the compressor?
Thank you for your time and help!

mshaw, definitely sounds like compressor failure to me. On a hunch, I'd guess that the variable displacement solenoid is mechanically stuck (bur working electrically). I've never had any luck replacing just the solenoid...
Does this compressor have a clutch? If so, is it engaging and disengaging? I figure you'd have noticed by now, but is the belt present and in good condition?
If the clutch is working (or doesn't come with one, and the belt is there, then I'd say you're done! Compressor time.
Hey Tyler!
Many thanks for the quick reply.
It does not have a clutch and the belt is good.
Your description of a sticking solenoid makes a lot of sense. I was assuming there was something preventing the swash plate from moving.
Especially since the issue is intermittent but mostly not working. Maybe I'll try rapping on it.
Thanks again my friend.
