I have a '14 Grand Caravan with a 3.6L engine, and a misfire was reported on cylinder #5.  We have replaced all the plugs and the coil pack for #5.  We swapped the injectors around, but the misfire continued on #5.  What should my next steps be?

Thanks in advance!

I would grab a labscope and capture a Relative Compression waveform. If you don't have a scope, disable fuel and crank the engine. Listen to the cadence. Does it sound smooth and continuous? Or, is there a rhythmic pattern?

Can you feel/hear the misfire when the engine is running?

Yes, you can feel it misfiring and running rough. I will check and see if we have access to a scope.

Thanks

I'm with Chad, relative compression with a scope, or at least a traditional compression test with a gauge.
Not uncommon to have valve train issues on these...

if no access to scope pull valve cover(s) and look at roller followers this is the common failure item for this engine platform.

Thanks for the replies. We did a compression test, and Cylinder 5 is within 10% of another Cylinder tested.

Where to next?  Is this an electrical issue at Cylinder 5?  Is there an engine control module on this model?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

What was the compression for all six cylinders?
