Bad Fuel Pump? was created by edancel41
I have 1987 bmw 325i and looking at fuel pump with scope. I am new to using labscopes and wondering what your opinion of the wave form? I belive this is a bad pump?

I can't tell what the amperage is, or how fast the pump is spinning from that picture but, the overall pattern does not look terrible, to me.

A fuel pressure measurement will 100% let you know if the pump is working or not. Use that in conjunction with the current waveform to decide if you need to change the pump. Unfortunately, as Chad noted, there is no discernable scaling in your capture to measure the amperage of the pump
