Nissan throttle relearn

Nissan throttle relearn was created by bolo
Hello everyone. I have been following scanner danner for about 2 and a half years now and I have his e-book.
I am from the Caribbean and presently working on a nissan skyline 350gt. Which is the same as Infiniti g35 in the usa. Year is 2007. The owner removed the throttle and cleaned them but obviously a throttle relearn has to be done. He didn't know when removing them. My scan tool is quite capable of doing the relearn but as I have found this can be very trouble some on Nissan ( I have a G-Scan 2 scan tool).

I have had this problem on a number of nissans where it is difficult to do the relearn. On some I have had to resort to changing the throttle and it works. I know shops who have changed both ecu and throttle and it still doesn't work. Some work after a month of driving.

I do the pedal relearn the the closed throttle relearn then the throttle idle relearn but it doesn't work.

All parameters are in check. Trans oil is above 60. Engine coolant temp is between 70 -93. Battery voltage above 12.7 . No load on engine. All accessories off. But it just will not relearn. I know if cars not even the dealer can make relearn.
what I'm I overlooking? Is it that the ecu saw a problem and shut off that circuit. Should I manually control the circuit to wake the ecu?

Any suggestions are welcomed

The only variable that comes to mind this moment is RPM range.
I haven't had to do one in a while, but I recall that the engine has to be under a certain RPM (maybe 1000 rpm?) for the relearn to work.
If the idle is stuck high, you're supposed to disconnect an injector or two to bring the RPM down. (That's what the Snap-On Verus said anyway last time I worked on one)
I can remember having to go through the process multiple times for it to take. Very frustrating.
Hopefully someone with more Nissan specific experience can chime in here with some advice for you.

Can't think of anything you're missing, but I definitely agree with Noah about the engine speed issue. I've seen extreme cases where it's taken two injectors disconnected to get the RPM down low enough for the relearn to take. Very frustrating.

When you're performing the APP and throttle minimum relearn, can you hear the throttle blade click back and forth? If not, it may be that the throttle itself has failed mechanically.

Thanks guys. Yes the throttle moves when the ignation is turned on and off.
Yes I think the issue is when cleaning the new gap is much larger giving the greater idle rpm range. Most of the difficult relearns are at a range of 1000 to 2200.
We tried putting some paint on the throttle to close the gap. The hunting between 1000 to 2200 stabilised at 1000 but the paint came off and the irregular idle came back.
Pulling the injectors are a great idea .I will try it and report my results.
Thanks again.

Same as the others. I've induced a vacuum leak on the booster hose to lower the rpm. As I hear it starting to learn I plug it back on and let it finish.

This is on a x-trail but still a Nissan with the same symptoms.
