Hi guys. I have a 91 chevy k1500 5.7 4x4.
I noticed my service engine soon light didn't come on when turning key on.
So I took cluster out and found a blown bulb. Switched it out with the buckle up bulb same type.
Put it all back together and bam my gauge fuse blows.
Took it back out and removed ses bulb, still good, and reinstalled cluster without ses bulb, Replaced 20a Fuse. Now gauges, lights work as before.
So the ses bulb installed blows my gauge cluster fuse...
Where do I start? Is it a problem in cluster, ecm, short in between? I have no diagrams for this ses bulb.

I guess I got ahead of myself.
I didn't have cluster plugged in all the way.
It pluggs its self in when you screw it all back on. I was testing the bulb out so I just fit the cluster up and didn't bother to screw it in dash. Causing fuse to blow.
