Alternator diode check, I'm getting 0.5v -lead on BAT, 1.8v - on alternator case. I mistaken or is this a bad reman alternator?

1.8V on the alternator case would generally suggest a bad block ground. But lets be clear about your measurements. How exactly were your leads connected during each measurement? Was your meter set to AC voltage, or DC?

Not voltage. Those measurements were made with the diode check function
