I’m working on a 14 f250 had to remove dash. Has aftermarket radio wired in with horrible wiring tapping into all kinds of things. Ran before dash removal. When I try to start nothing happens also no communication with pcm/tcm, abs, anything under the hood. The high speed can looks good when the key is put in but once I turn on accessories it’s slows down. When trying to start it drops. I’m getting the wake up signal to the pcm from the bcm and pcm has good power and ground.

Key out of the ignition, wait about 30 seconds, measure resistance across pin #6 and #14 at the Data Link Connector. What's the resistance?

EDIT: Scan tool unplugged, too.

Ok now you need to look at diagrams to find the terminating resistors (usually PCM and abs modules but can be a stand alone resistor as well) and also identify what all is on the hs can and write it down or print it out. Then see what is in the cab of truck (since the happened after dash stuff being done or possibly gifted you with its presence lol ) and check each leg of com wire from module to module for an open /short to ground. Also check for pinched wires between fastener points/behind fastener points like a screw penetrating a wire bundle.

Sorry I didn't get back to you last night! Hardtopdr2 is the man.

Let us know what you find under the dash. I'd probably go straight to C212:

Hey thanks for the reply I was hoping it was the connector but it ended up being a bad wire behind the cluster area. Btw that’s a nice a diagram where’d you pull that from I have access to prodemand, identifix and motor lol

Glad to hear you tracked it down!

You can find diagrams like that if you use the OE wiring diagrams in Identifix (not the Mitchell/Motor/Color diagrams). The connector numbers are actually hyperlinks. Click on one, and it'll pull up the connector pin out and location.
