I have a 2009 chevy traverse in the shop throwing timing codes. It does appear the crankshaft reluctor has slipped. Has roughly 109,000 miles. After clearing the codes, p0017 and p0018 appear after a minute or so and has low power. The question i have is when i was checking correlation my crankshaft signal seems to be high on the sync notch instead of low like all the other known goods i have been seeing. Can someone please help me understand what it is that im clearly overthinking. I should mention that when it first came in vacuum was about 10inhg. For whatever reason after checking a few things my vacuum came back to an exceptable amount nd now idles smooth, however, the vehicle is extremely sluggish and still.throwing timing codes. Oil is full, converters are not clogged.

Could you please post the known good as well?
I've seen many of these engines in needs of chain sets, but haven't encountered one with a slipped tone ring yet, but anything is possible.

Im not sure what i was doing wrong the day i took my captures and was looking at this one, possibly just due to it being a rough day. The tone ring was not slipped on the crank however there is a TSB for it. I though it was slipped because when i had my inspection camera in the hole, i had it oriented upside down which made it look slipped. Im not sure the cause of my waveform being backwards still. I got my signal the first day from up at the pcm. The second day i went back and took a capturr directly at the sensor and my correlation was off. Apparently it was just one of those days!

Thanks for the update, you're right, I have seen that TSB, but am yet to have seen it in real life.
