4 pin temp sensor was created by Nate290
Hi, new to all this and enjoying the scanner danner content. So please bare with my novice questions.

I have an 84 vw t3 that I want to test the 4 pin temp sensor connector.

Unplugging with ignition on, what should I be seeing testing each individual pin.

I've done an Internet search re the 4 pin connector but have found nothing on them to give me any ideas.

Kind regards

Are you sure it's a temperature sensor? They are usually only 2 wires.

Is it a connector that is shared by a temp sensor and something else?

What type of temp sensor is it, coolant?

Hi, thanks for your reply.

It's a green coolant sensor with four pins. Essentially just operating the dash guage as the vehicle doesn't have an ecu.

So it's not giving a signal to an ecu, and the fuel pump is ID, mechanical.

I'm familiar with a two pin, but four is something I've not been around.

Cheers
