I have crank no start on my truck after I had the engine rebuilt and haven't been able to break it in. It started with a P2146 and P0336 codes which were a bad crank position sensor and pinched injector harness under the rocker cover. It has evolved into my ECM has been repaired twice by AutoComputerSpecialist for shorted injector drivers. The first time was months after the wiring issues were fixed, and then after no DTC's I put it in the truck and still crank no start. When I sent it back to be checked they found the injector drivers shorted again. All injector wires from ECM to the injectors have 0.3-0.4 Ohms resistance, or .007-.011 mV drop. All fused B(+) from battery show 12.6 volts, all Ground wires were confirmed from the ECM to ground. I had 4.96 V on one 5 volt supply wire, but I traced that to come from my engine brake controller the runs a jumper harness to the crank position sensor, but I now have unplugged that. It's not a fuel issue, I have 5,000-8,000 psi on the rail cranking, and the set pressure is 4000-7000psi, brand new Bosch injectors not Remans, and the solenoids all had 0.6 Ohms. Nothing else gives me an indication for something wrong, no DTC's, all my lights and gauges work, door locks, windows, etc. I'm afraid of plugging the ECM back in because I can't find anything that looks like an issue, or were the injector drivers shorted only when I tried to crank, but not when key is turned on. I don't have a scope to work with only been using a probe, multimeter, and a Snap-on Solus Ultra I can borrow from time to time. Just found Scanner Danner the past week and been diving in because all the diesel mechanics in my area are stumped on this issue. I'm considering trying my ECM on a 04 Dodge Ram with a 5.9 to confirm it's not an internal short. I ignorantly spent a long time cranking on that starter after I fixed the injector harness, and my codes all went away under the impression it was a fuel issue. Any help or guidance you guys can give will be a blessing! I'll attach the Service Manual I've been using for this process below if that helps for referance.
Just trying to learn how to do things right, and my failure is apart of that process.
