Hi there, hope I've got this going in the right place. I'm working on a 2016 chevy express 4.8L. Upon arrival cranks, no start condition. After investigation found no signal from ecm to fuel pump relay on primary fuel pump relay signal wire at the ecm. Also when jumping pins 30 to 87 still get no fuel pump cycling or fuel pressure to the fuel rails. Is this a bad ecm condition? Or is there something else that may not be telling the ecm to send the signal to the fuel pump relay? Any help is much appreciated, thank you.

You're in the right place! Before going too deep, what's the 8th digit of the VIN?

Any fault codes in the ECM?

Given that you're not seeing any voltage on the control side of the fuel pump relay, I'd probably back up and look at some scan data first. There are usually a set of PIDs in the ECM scan data that will tell you if the fuel pump relay is being commanded on. 'Fuel Pump Relay' ON/OFF, usually. There's also another set of PIDs for if the ECM detects any faults in the fuel pump relay control circuit. 'Fuel Pump Relay Control Circuit High Voltage/Open/Low Voltage Test Status'. Put the fuel pump relay back in and check those PIDs during a cranking attempt.

A 'Malfunction' flag on any of the Test Status PIDs is a red flag for a problem in the relay control circuit. Dig deeper into the control circuit as needed. If the control is there with no Test Status issues, recheck that you're testing for voltage correctly at the fuel pump relay.

8th Vin F, all fuel pump relay PID,s are showing functional. Checked continuity from ecu to switch side of relay, it's good. No signal from ecu to prime or while cranking on the relay switch signal wire? Is there anything else that would stop the ecu from sending thar signal without having a problem in the ecu itself?

Upon further investigation. I have 0v when the pump should be priming key on. And 9.5v while cranking, still no fuel pressure on my pressure tester at the rail.
