Just bought a uscope a week ago and ScannerDanners book yesterday , My question is where can I find good wave forms and what am I looking for on existing wave form , Case point 1998 gmc savanna VSS signal . Own several other vehicles as well , I am not a pro mechanic but have used a tectronics scope for several years with phone company , different type of waveform altogether . Thanks Dave

There are many places to get known-good waveforms:

A free resource that I use, quite often, is a Facebook Group .
Another is the Picoscope Library, but you must have a picoscope attached to your PC to use it.
Keith Perkins has a very good library, at l1training.com . You must register for a free account to access it.
.
As time goes on, I am seeing them, more and more, in Manufacturer Service Information.

A quick google search can, often, bring good results, too.
