Ford Focus Duratec 2.0 High LTFT was created by Stuart35
Hi all. I have a Ford Focus 2009-2.0 Duratec (MAP sensor type) with a slight drop of about 90 rpm at idle approximately every 5 seconds. The scanner data shows that when it stumbles, the LTFT rises to about +18 and STFT is jumping between -3 to +18. The LTFT is also jumping around like the STFT. Raising the RPM to about 1500 steadies the LTFT to around +7. I am not sure if these fuel trim numbers are out because the battery has been disconnected and new values have not been learned. However, it is acting like an air leak.

Anyway, a smoke test showed that the EGR was leaking from a weep hole in the casting  (see pic below) . I am not sure if this is the source of an air leak as i do not have another car to compare with. video See here

A vacuum test also showed a fluctuating reading of about 1" Hg.video  See here

The Map sensor has been tested against barometric and absolute pressure and is reading correctly. O2 sensor data is also normal.

Additional info. I work away and the car is only used every 6 months or so. It is using E10 fuel.
