Thank you for accepting me,
Subject: BMW 316i O2 sensor , Questions: i'm really lost here, I'm living in the Philippines and i got from a dying friend his 1999 BMW 316i, M43 engine 4 cylinders.I'm trying to find out why my idle is about 100 rpm too high and i have lack of power at low speed, it seems that i have only an upstream oxygen sensor with 2 white wires ,1 grey wire and one black wire; my resources are very limited here, can't find a decent technician, Question : why only 1 oxygen sensor and how to check if still fonctional or busted ? Idle is not adjustable on this car ( vin: WBAAL 51010 KH 01593); Did smog test , apparently no vacuum leak. I removed the Sensor for inspection , the color is grey so it seems i'm running lean ?Can you help me ? thanks,
