Hi all. I just stumbled upon this site. I have a 2000 Chevy Astro, 4.3L. 2wd LS. Since I changed the B+ alt. wire to a much heavier gauge, I've lost radio, fuel & temp gauges, odometer and shift position readouts, and cruise control. I checked what I can, (I'm a mechanic of 40 yr.s), and due to cancer and such can't do a whole lot anymore. I went back to the original B+ wire, and replaced the fuse ling at the starter, (which I found out was my original problem). I believe this particular year the gauges are conrtrolled by the ECM?? (Bad move, GM!). Would this be a common problem, or am I better off using this van as a shed? lol
