Hello everyone,
I am diagnosed a 2018 Ford Transit connect with fuel issues ,I scanned the van no code what so ever all the fuses are good except the injectors fuse s deem I replaced it with a new one still the same thing I checked voltage at injectors wires 1.8 volt also at fuse . I can hear the fuel pump
Everytime I cycle the key I sprayed the throttle body with brake fluid it start but when I press the gas pedal the engine shake and then shut off . Customer State he ran out of gas stop by a gas station put a Couple gallon gas the van drive fine for a few minutes and then shut down. I am not sure if it the fuel pump, at the fuel pump wire there is signal and ground the fuel pump kick in . I don't know what else to do any advice Will help thanks.
Is this a gasoline or diesel engine?
The 1.8v may be a bías voltage. (Diesel) direct injectors, depending on the type, may only be pulsed with supply voltage during the injection events....
Make yourself familiar with how this system is designed to operate.
If you had a scope you could look at injector control.
It might be worth to look closer at the fuel as the problem happened shortly after a fueling event.
