Hi there! Big fan of the youtube channel and know I have my own gremlin. Two new fuel pumps, filter, regulator, relay and still blowing fuses. The amp clamp at the harness shows 13-20 amps on a 15 amp circuit and blows fuses, not on start or idle but after a few miles, then a few hundred feet. Check the wiring and the only thing that its visual is that little bit off chaffing at the harness connector. No broken strands and not grounding out on anything around it since its all plastic. Did a bunch of wiggle tests and pounding around the loom and cannot cause it to blow a fuse. The first replacement was a 500 dollar oem pump. The second was an aftermarket full pump assembly. Drove for a thousand miles before it popped up again. At this point im stumped and would appreciate any help. This seems to be out of the knowledge of most shops that I talk to. Pressure is perfect until it instantly drops to zero.

You have the amp clamp on every wire at the pump. What does it read only around the power wire? What else does that fuse feed on the power distribution schematic?

The amp clamp around the wires was just for illustration. Clamped around the power wire only runs 13-18 amps. Every part of the fuel system has been replaced. Just figured out that the pump doesn't prime. Once I get my probes tomorrow I will fully test the circuit but im wondering if a bad signal or control power/ground can cause high current draw? I hate to keep throwing fuel pumps at this at 500 bucks each!

A poor ground can be the cause of repeated pump failure. I've seen first hand on a Suburban.
Try volt drop testing the power and ground at the pump while it's running.
Debris in the tank is a pump killer.
A restricted filter will also cause high current draw from the pump.
