A Mercedes ML engine 320 petrol with jumped timing chain and a broken chain tensioner, what would the labor time be to fix these probably broken parts that are somewhere? or 350 if that is the petrol engine this is no diesel

The dealer he had the car to said it is not an interference engine, but they had an early model problem with the balance shaft. Expensive cars to maintain must be dirt cheap.
I do not trust the mechanics in my town so could it be an interference engine for sure it could. Could they misdiagnosed the car and the problem is the balance shaft think it is a possibility
