I have a 2015 Chevy equinox with a 2.4l engine. The car is running rich. When I removed the resonator box fuel poured out of it. What would be the most likely causes for this issue
Did fuel pour out of the resonator, or water? Can't say I've seen or heard of true liquid fuel getting trapped in the resonator, but a water/oil mix would not be unusual for that engine.
As for running rich, I'd look towards an excessive amount of fuel in the engine oil, likely from a failed high pressure fuel pump. You can remove the dipstick and smell for raw fuel. You can also take a few drops of the oil and put them on a clean sheet of white paper. If there's excessive fuel, the fuel will separate and form it's own 'ring' around the engine oil.
