How do you know it runs rich after start up? What are your fuel trim numbers? How does it run under load? When it stalls does it immediately restart? Can you keep it from stalling with your foot on the gas pedal?

Found out I'm having problems with coolant sensor I'm getting codes po118 po117 replaced with oem Motorcraft sensor all wiring is good and sensor is good but truck keeps throwing these codes and stalling I was told by this site I'm supposed to have 11 volts at coolant sensor but when you do research on it they say it's supposed to have 5 volts to sensor can you clarify and replaced pcm 2 times still shutsdown and throws po118 and po117 thanks
As you may already know, disconnecting the sensor should show -40 degrees F, and shorting the 5v reference/ signal wire to the ground wire with a paper clip should show the highest temperature on the scanner. Also, if your truck is equipped with CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature), check it as it can set these codes as well according to ALLDATA.
Service info from Alldata suggests that you disconnect the sensor and simulate 1.0v on the sensor circuit. The simulated 1.0v signal and scan PID voltage should be similar. If the voltage is not similar, check the related circuit and PCM. Let us know your fidings
Assuming is never a good thing.

Try disconnecting the PCM and see if you still have the 11V. What does the scanner show as temperature with key on, connected and disconnected?
