Hello All,

I have an 06 Mitsubishi Outlander AWD 2.4L that has an engine light on, which is showing code P0441 which reads Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow. I'm looking for some insight on what could be some possible issues and ways to try to diagnose. Also if this code is to much for a DIY to tackle or if I should bring it to a shop.

All comments are appreciated and hope we can fix it without breaking the bank.

Its easier with a scan tool with bi directional controls and a smoke machine but can be done by a diyer with some electrical knowledge a dvom and a few jumper wires. If that is you well guide you through it

just unplug the purge valve electrical conector and unhook the line that goes to the canister not the intake vacuum source and check for vacuum on that port that you removed the hose from
