Hi Guys,
I have an on going battle with my 2010 Citroën relay 2.2 puma engine 109k
Wits end and complete frustration does not come close at the moment, looking for an suggestions good or bad.
If I turn the ignition on and off numerous times (10 seems to be a good number and the right amount that citroen states to prime the fuel lines) and it start good but without doing it cranks then splutters then fires, smokes and runs rough for a few minutes. Prime it and no smoke and runs smoothly.
Up until 2 days I have had no fault codes, driving along eml came on and the van died. Restarted got home and plugged the computer in showed p0093 and 71000kpa fuel rail pressure on idle. I know this is high. One other thing is I get 0kpa prior to starting.
It's been In 2 garages both I have used over the years and are good mechanics. So far I have replaced glow plugs, injectors, fuel filter element (tightened but not torqued, does not leak out fuel) and prv. Checked all the lines and joints all good, priming pump sounds like it's doing its job.
Next step is to change fuel pressure regulator (will get a relearn) prv and if these do not work the fuel filter housing.
