2003 Honda Accord LX V6 - No Start was created by drodegeb
Hello everybody!
The other day my son was driving back to his apartment and it stalled out on him and we couldn't get it restarted and had it towed back to my house.
It cranks, but doesn't start
I have tried the following so far:
* Charged battery - no change
* It felt like it was turning over slowly so we replaced battery, it seemed to turn over quicker but otherwise no change
* Replaced alternator - no change
* Tested for spark on front left cylinder, it has spark (I would have tested the rest but the tester I purchased is difficult to use, returning and plan to purchase a different one, suggestions on a cheaper, decent set for a DIYer would be great)
* pulled the relays for the Fuel pump and Fuel injection and they test out fine
Thoughts on the next items to check?
Update #1 - For a moment it looked like the immobilization system might have been involved. The green light was on a bit, and wouldn't go away. But, after pulling a couple fuses, locking/unlocking, or just coincidence, the green light goes away now, but still no firing.

If you have Spark;
Spray an alternate fuel source ( brake clean or propane ) into the intake stream, will the engine try to run?
Does the engine run smoothly for a short period before it dies, or does it sputter and run rough?

Thanks Paul!
>>Spray an alternate fuel source ( brake clean or propane ) into the intake stream, will the engine try to run?
How would I do this with fuel injection?
>>Does the engine run smoothly for a short period before it dies, or does it sputter and run rough
I'm not sure how it sounded when it stalled out on him. But, at this point, it turns over just fine, but never attempts to start, no sputtering, nothing.

Open the Aircleaner and spray the fuel into the air inlet duct. I provided a picture for you.
Will it start now, with an alternate fuel?
Never stop Learning.
