Air/Fuel, compression, and ignition at the proper time....What are you missing?
What is your fuel pressure?
Do you have spark and injector pulse?
Does the engine sound "normal" when it is cranking?

Does fuel pump prime?
Do you have fuel pressure?
If not check fuse and test/swap relay with another spot (headlights) and check fuel pump inertia switch.
If no power even after these are good the pcm is known for the three capacitors leaking out causing crank no start.
If these are good and you have fuel pressure/ fuel flow then check pip wire for a pulse at ignition module.

the fact your asking this question says your very new to testing and probably dont have much for tools and testing so i suggest taking the most basic of methods if you dont have testing equipment
first try spraying starting fluid in the intake, does it now start?
if so you have a lack of fuel issue
if not you most likely have a spark/compression/over fueling issue.
lets assume starting fluid did nothing, lets check for spark now
remove one of the spark plugs from a cylinder, with it connected to the plug wire then hold the spark plug tip up against anything metal on the valve cover using some plier, then have someone crank engine, did it spark?
start simple. if the truck did start with starting fluid you know its fuel related, turn ignition to "on" listen for fuel pump to turn on for about 7 seconds,if you dont hear it try removing gas cap and listen as someone turns key on.
if you hear it turn on try placing a screwdiver to your ear and the tip of the screwdriver to injector and listen for audible cliking sound,
a method i used to do before i learned electrical was unbolting the fuel rail with injectors attached to rail,i would place a ziplock bag over the injectors with rubberbands and i made a bracket using a metal ruler with 4 holes so it fit over the injectors and i ziptied it to the fuel rail so i could crank it and visually look for them to spray. because there are far better and safer methods i ditch this practice, but it was a viable test,i cant recommend you do this but if you do make sure you disable spark ignition/place damp towel over engine area your doing this and have fire extinguisher/water hose as saftey precaution.
