4l80/85e reluctor /tone ring was created by Geocou

I am wondering the correct position of the reluctor/tone ring when viewing in the hole for the
(oss) output speed sensor I understand the ring goes on the planetary and would have thought the position was automatic within a minor difference

should the reluctor ring be centered in the hole so the entire speed sensor is constantly magnetized

or should the reluctor ring be offset when viewed in the hole of the oss more towards the front of the trans towards the input speed sensor iss so there is more of a gap allowing the oss to only be partially magnetized maybe allowing for more magnetic release

I have a 4l80e broken down when I mock up to try and understand a situation of another 4l80e in a vehicle I'm noticing a difference of the position for the reluctor ring one is centered and the other is offset

photos attached are one of each items referenced above

however, tone ring should be centered in hole so you will want to make sure the bearing washers are all situated correctly when reassembling it.
