Replaced the engine, due to a valve dropping into a piston. installed a reman engine that customer brought. After installation engine would not start. Started by checking grounds and all grounds are good & tight. What I noticed was there’s no spark/ rpm’s don’t go up. Checked for power and ground at crank sensor and there’s no power or ground. Tested resistance on crank sensor and was good with 355ohms. checked with oscilloscope and no signal coming from pcm. Customer wanted to replace pcm from junkyard, I verified part numbers matched. Reset (KAM) and reset anti-theft. Still crank no start. is there anything else I can check?
Check the resistance of the crank sensor from the pcm to check wiring from prn to it. Have you scoped the crank sensor alone since it’s an ac sine wave they make their own voltage to see if the sensor itself is reading the trigger wheel.
