Vehicle power loss when going uphill was created by Datb0xer
Hello Mr. Danner and everyone. I think Mr. ScannerDanner needs to make a video about a vehicle that idles fine and drives smooth but
loses power when going uphill. Are there any videos of SD related? I always wonder how to diagnose this problem.

There are a few things can cause loss of power under increased load. A melted or busted up cat is one of them but a fuel delivery problem is also a prime contender as is dirty or defective MAF sensor.
If there is a noticeable misfire when the engine is put under load then the ignition system moves up the suspect list.

Tell us more about the vehicle: year, manufacturer, model, engine size and fuel (ie.gasoline, diesel or CNG/LPG) it also helps to know the country the vehicle was built for.

I think Subarus are just like that?

lol, just kidding! I like Subarus actually.
Unless a car rolls through Rosedale or Pete's garage with that exact symptom, Paul most likely won't have a video like that in the near future. But who knows, he might be working on one right now!
If you're working on something now that has that symptom, I encourage you to start a help request thread in the "post your repair questions here" section.

Any low power complaint, regardless of inclination, would be handles with a WOT pull through first gear while watching upstream o2s to see if the engine is dropping lean under load.
You could try it on a level road for control results and try it again uphill.

And not every vehicle has to go up any hills or mountains :silly: most of my customer base lives on the side of a mountain.... literally...
