God bless you my brothers and sisters.
Ok so my daughter calls me to tell me her car won't start, car totally dead so i tell her to get a jump starts. She checks gauges and car is charging but it will not go over 30mph. I have been looking this up on google seems to be a common problem but as of yet i haven't found how to fix this.
I just need some info. about this problem i think it's in limp mode but how do i get it out of limp mode? I live in mexico she lives in california so i just need to know if the batt. is causing this and needs to be replaced or maybe clear codes due to bad batt.
Thank you for your help.

Hey gilbert! I think your suspicions about some kind of forced limp mode are right on. Low battery voltage does all sorts of crazy stuff to modules.

This may sound silly, but I think she should try a soft reset first, before going much further. Disconnect both cables, short them together, leave them for awhile, then come back and try again. It's free, simple, and stands a chance of working!

Being a drive-by-wire, an accelerator pedal position relearn may be needed. I think, you can do it with a key on/off sequence, if you don't have a scanner. I don't recall for sure, but it is something like: Key on. Key off. Key on. After 30 seconds, depress accelerator.
